Georgia Center for Continuing Education and Hotel, University of Georgia, Athens, GA
Organized by an interdisciplinary team of faculty from the UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, College of Engineering, Institute for Integrative Precision Agriculture, Integrated Pest Management Program, Institute for AI, and the School of Computing, this symposium will highlight cutting-edge advances at the interface of artificial intelligence, data science, and crop protection to better understand and manage arthropod pests, plant diseases, and weeds.
The program will feature recognized experts from across the United States who will present innovative applications of AI in the following areas:
- Session 1: Detection, Monitoring, and Diagnosis
- Session 2: Modeling, Forecasting, and Prediction
- Session 3: Precision Technologies for Pest Management
- Session 4: Applications and Future Directions
The symposium aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration among researchers, extension scientists, and students interested in leveraging AI for sustainable crop protection.
We particularly encourage graduate students and trainees to participate in the student poster competition, which will include opportunities to present research and compete for awards.
